Upon hearing the name, Marshall stiffens and his eyes widen with faint recognition as he takes a closer look at the new addition, comparing the man's features to another's in his mind.

Forgetting himself momentarily, Marshall ventures a question at the newcomer, "Do you... you bear a striking resemblance to someone i used to know... a rather wi... a female, Ivral."

Surprise at hearing his elder sister's name causes Daemok to momentarily break protocol. The chances of a lucky guess are remote. "Ivral? Ivral's my elder sis. You knew her? Where? When? You said 'knew'? What happened to her?"

Catching himself too late to stop the torrent of questions from spilling out, Daemok apologises, more slowly to both Commander Mabius and the man who popped the surprising news. "My apologies, disrespect was not intended. I have not had contact with Ivral in over three years and hence my astonishment. Begging your pardon, Commander." Daemok pauses, then asks the other man with considerably less agitation, "Yes, Ivral is my elder sister. Is she fine?"

[[EDIT: changed Daemok's response. Being a semi impromptu interaction, I thought to increase the interactiveness of response to avoid bogging down the storyline later with short dialog.]]

"She was fine when we parted ways," says Marshall, his hand sub-consciously going to his shoulder to feel an old bite wound. He murmurs under his breath, "It was I who wasn't so fine."

Looking at Daemok he adds, "Your sister and I had a... liaison of sorts. It was brief but we parted on agreeable terms. Its been almost a year since we last er... communicated. I haven't heard from her since. I thought she had chanced upon another more... hardy fellow."

A hint of a smile appears on Daemok's face. "That is good to know. I did not catch your name, sir."

"My name is Marshall," says Marshall. Then, gesturing at his companions, he introduces them in turn. "These are Commander Mabius, Dirk and Squatch. Welcome to the Legion of Steel."
